CONTEXTUALIZING MY ASTRAL EXPERIENCE
In my previous post, I wrote about an intense experience I had. I do not encourage anyone to take my experience as “real”… that is, something that I believe is utterly factual. Like in the way “the Earth revolves on its axis” is “real.”
Nothing of the experience feels like a lie, but there are concerns. This is why:

MY ASTRAL EXPERIENCE – SEPT 2024
A HUGE problem about my magical experiences is I am afraid of sounding like a nut job. Or of disappearing up my own asshole. Too many magicians are solipsistic, taking EVERY experience or thought they have as a grand mystical experience that MEANS THINGS!
I have sought to avoid that. Long ago I read an Irish saying. I might be remembering it wrong, but it goes like this:
“If you see a Leprechaun walking down the road, tell no one!”
My point is that I like to remain as grounded in “the real” as much as possible. Truth is my goal, not some inward-facing cloud-cuckoo-land fantasy. To me magic isn’t magic until it works in our common, shared reality. Otherwise, it has the danger of being an ego trip.

HISTORY
If monuments were the glory of the Egyptian Old Kingdom (2675 – 2130 BCE) and conquest was the glory of the New Kingdom (1550 – 1070 BCE), then the glory of the Middle Kingdom (2030 – 1650 BCE) was its literature. They range from fiction (“The Tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor” and “The Story of Sinuhe”) to wisdom literature (“The Instructions of Ptahhotep and Kagemni”).

TAROT – THE MAJOR ARCANA
The purpose of the Major Arcana is to tell a story about the Path to Enlightenment. The cards are numbered in sequence to show the important parts of the Path. These are the opportunities and difficulties (hard opportunities) that will present themselves on the Path. This story will be personified in a gender-neutral person I will call, “The Wanderer”.
